Have your say...

Bramford West MPD. Depicting a busy modern maintenence depot set somewhere in England Owned by Patrick Knight and constructed by him and members of the 'one' model railway club, this layout can depict a wide variety of operators and regions in recent times.

Welcome ...

Greetings and welcome to Bramford West. A fictitious depot that could be anywhere in England. The layout can depict specific operators such as EWS, GB Railfreight, Freightliner or passenger operators. It can also be back-dated to the last years of British Rail.

Measuring 10 feet by 4 feet, this layout requires one operator and consists of a large selection of storage sidings for locomotives, fuelling points and maintenance sheds with a plethora of departmental vehicles. Weeds, lifted track and piles of ballast complete the unkempt scene which is found at so many depots.

For added interest overlooking the depot is a tree-lined avenue with moving road vehicles, abandoned warehouses ready for development and a car showroom.

Photographs of the layout can be found on the next page.
